Top Five Saturday Laughs 8/3/2013

It has been so crazy around these parts recently!!  I have been so busy with work, the pregnancy & the new house.  Don't worry, I will cover the previous sentence in another post.  We have had a lot going on at the Ladybug Mansion!  Okay, now to indulge in a past-time that I have so missed doing!

Top Five Saturday Laughs!!!

1.  Ladybug woke up at about 11pm one night crying.  When I went into her room, she was crying & complaining that her "clothes hurt".  As you can see in the picture, she was not at all happy with the situation she had gotten herself into.  I had placed these clothes to give away, which means they are too small for her & explains why it hurt for her to move.  She has on her night gown, some capri shorts, a pair of skorts, and four dresses.  She is so silly.

2.  This little Diva shushed me at the local library when I tried to take a picture of her.  I just thought it was cute that she was playing on the computer, but evidently she didn't like the volume I was using in the library!

3.  Nothing is safe in her bed!  This is not how she was put down for her nap.  Somehow her laundry basket got into her bed & she decided to put her bathing suit on.  Then....when she actually took her nap....she woke up with her pajamas on!

4.  This is how she's been walking around the last month.  She wears one of her many tiaras at least 3-5 times a week.  It hard work living with royalty.

5.  She loves Doritos (also known as "Orange Triangle Chips".  They are finger licking good!  Her dad bought her some a couple of days ago & she would only share the little pieces with him.  When her dad complained, she replied, "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit"!  She is a mess!!!!

Saturday Top Five Laughs!

Saturday Top Five Laughs!

I had a wonderful and super quick week that resulted in me having to do work over the weekend.  But, that's okay b/c I am making some me time to spend with my family and by myself.  That is wonderful!!  Well, here are some random funny/sweet sayings of my little 2 1/2 year old.  She is a trip!  Please leave a friendly comment, I love finding new blogs to read!

5.  Ladybug recently had an ear infection.  Last week she told me her ear hurt.  So, I immediately went to a new kid's clinic that has opened up and is open on Sundays.  So we get checked in, the doctor looks at her eyes and says that they look fine.  She said that I could give her the meds for two more days if I wanted to, but it didn't seem necessary.  So, true to form....my daughter makes me look like an OCD parent when she shouts.  "My ears feel much, much better".  Ugh.....this little girl!!

4.  Last night I was getting something out of the refrigerator & Ladybug told me she wanted to take her medicine.  I told her that it was all gone, she wasn't sick and she didn't need to take it anymore.  Well, she gives 2 fake coughs and says, "yes, Mommy...I am still sick....I still need it".  :-/

3.  Thursday she had to go to bed early b/c she was talking back.  I told her she needed to listen to me & she put her hands on her hips, push her head forward & shouted, "NO!  You listen to me!"  Um.....what......  She went to bed very early that night.

2.  While washing Ladybug's hair, she tells me that she doesn't want to take a bath.  I told her that Princesses had to take baths so they could be clean.  Her response, "I don't want a Princess bath, I want to be stinky".  Ugh!  This is what I deal with......:-)

1.  Since I work with kids and it is flu season, I disinfect often.  She was tip toeing out of my room last night like a little ninja.  I asked her what she was doing, and she had a container of disinfectant wipes.  Not sure where she was going with those. :)

Saturday Top Five Laughs!

I keep saying how crazy this week has been.  Not only did we have a short week, we are having several changes at work!  Oh, what is a blogger to do.......?  :-)  I'm glad to be here supplying you guys with endless laughs from my little 2 yo Ladybug!  Please leave a friendly comment and follow....I always follow back!  Have a wonderful weekend.

5.  While updating my iphone (finally figured out how) I made sure Ladybug was taken care of with her special shows, something to drink & donuts.  I checked on her and she had eaten one entire donut and sampled 3 other items in the box.
Definitely looks like a little ladybug was in here........Well, at least she didn't make a mess.

4.  While talking about possibly expanding our family, I asked Ladybug what she thought about the idea.  I asked her if she wanted a baby brother or a baby sister.  She informed me that she wanted "a baby brother AND a baby sister".  I sarcastically told her we would have to ask Jesus about that one.  She then starts praying, "Dear Jesus, can we have a baby brother and a baby sister".  Um....what?

3.  Last week Ladybug randomly said.  "Come on lady, be a team player!"  I honestly have no idea where she has gotten this from!!!

2.  Ladybug was excited to go back to school (daycare) after having 2 weeks off.  She was so excited to see all of her friends.  As we pulled up the her school she says, "Yay, Mommy I'm happy.  I missed my friends.  Yes, I love my friends".  That was just so sweet to me.  I love that she has formed bonds w/her friends and the babysitter.

1.  Ladybug is the cleaning police around the house & is quick to tell us when something is "a mess".  I took her to the office yesterday & she proceeded to go in a coworkers office and tell her how messy it was.  She also went into her cousin's room & told him it was a mess.  She also added that his mother had told him to clean it up.  Which wasn't true.  But, when you are 2......you are your own boss!

Saturday Top Five Laughs

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Holiday and plan to have an even better New Year!  I hope you enjoy reading!  Just a little FYI....thees are some of the funnies I can remember from my two year old that is obviously going on 16.  We definitely have our hands full!  I love friendly comments and new followers!

5.  While throwing a tantrum for her father, Ladybug took a break to calmly shout, "You're making me crazy, Daddy".

4.  Ladybug's terrible twos are kicking into high gear.  She is still the most pleasant little girl, but when she starts acting "two" and trying to push the limits.......it's usually game on in this house.  Yesterday she was throwing a fit b/c she wanted to stay home and play in the freshly fallen snow.  She refused to get dressed and started stiffening her legs so I couldn't get her underwear on.  I'd had enough after about 5 minutes of her running around and not being cooperative, I made her go to timeout.  I asked her to put on her underwear before she went into timeout.  "No!" was the reply I received and she went into the corner completely naked.  That ladies and gentlemen is what I am dealing with!

3.  The weather is getting colder and Ladybug has had to start wearing her heavy coat.  It was quite a transition for her.  She is a little bit of a diva and enjoys wearing girlie things and the color pink.  One day the temperature had dropped quite a bit and she needed to wear her heavy coat.  It's brown and the cuffed sleeves are brown with hot pink polka dots.  She saw the coat and immediately said, "ummm No!  That's not mine.  That's like a brown or black.....I like something like a pink".   What??  I have officially lost control!  So...I tried to play up the pink polka dots....so far that has been working.

2.  She really got into Christmas this year and enjoyed reading her Bible and doing her Advent tree.  She really just amazes me with what she can retain and understand at this age.  She picked up her Bible and I asked her to read (pre-read) it to me.  She wanted to read the story of Noah, b/c that is her "favorite" story.  She "read" (from memory), "Noah builds a big boat.  Noah obeyed God.  It rained and rained and rained some more".

1.  Ladybug:  Mommy, am I going caroling?
Me: No
Ladybug:  Aw.....but, I like caroling!
Me:  Do you know any songs?
Ladybug:  Jingle Bells!!  I want to go caroling to daddy.
------and we did.  We caroled to daddy, in front of the bathroom door. :-)

Saturday Top Five Laughs

I'm so glad to see the weekend!!!  Mainly because I get to work on some Holiday/Winter projects, but also because I get to share my funnies for the week!  Enjoy my 2 year old's humor!!  Please read and follow!  I love new followers & I love comments!  Have a wonderful weekend!!!

1.  My husband is on a journey to get in shape and get healthy.  We were all in the living room watching him workout.  Ladybug likes to do the Insanity Workout w/him.  I like to watch.  She is so encouraging to him as she runs around.  "You're almost there, Daddy"!

2.  We are praying together nightly.  Her prayer tonight, "Dear God, thank you for breakfast, play dates & hopscotch".  Um....she has never had a play date that was not family & she doesn't know how to play hopscotch.  Where does she get this stuff from?

3.  My husband left to play golf yesterday morning and didn't say goodbye to me because I was in the shower.  She came into the bathroom when I got out of the shower, with her arms folded and pouting.  When I asked her what was wrong, "Daddy didn't say bye to you before he left!  He didn't even come into the bathroom!"

4.  Teaching your child her anatomy and yours can be dangerous.  She walked into the kitchen with her shirt off, pointed to her nipple and said, "Mommy, this is my breast.  Where is your breast?"  :-/  Maybe she can get a bra for Christmas!

5.  Today we had an argument in the toy store.  She wanted an umbrella that she saw.  It looked like a tug of war.  I was trying to keep my voice down and ask her to please let it go.  She was screaming, "I had it first, it's mine, you need to share!"  OH.....night night didn't come fast enough tonight!

Saturday Top 5 Laughs!!

Hello all!  This has been a crazy week and I have not done jack with the blog!  Well, the life of a working mother!!!  Hopefully my quest to be on here more will kick into gear!  Well, as always, please enjoy my post, link up and follow me if you like what you see!

Saturday Top 5 Laughs!!

1.  Ladybug waited too long to take a break from playing to go to the bathroom.  Needless to say she was running, slid on the laundry & had an accident on her daddy's shirt.  =)  I just had to smile to myself on that one.

2.  Ladybug is currently watching Veggie Tales in the backseat.  I just love to hear her sing about loving and helping your neighbor.

3.  Ladybug's new saying, "Hey....what's the big idea"!

4.  Ladybug is working on a book of thankfulness @ school (daycare).  Each day she gets a page sent home to fill the book.  She made a tree yesterday and all the leaves on the tree were her stuffed animals.  But, she did have two leaves that said, Mommy and Daddy.  :-/

5.  Another Ladybug saying, "I can't do anything"!  This is her new thing to say when she is not allowed to do something that she wants to do.

Saturday's Top Five Laughs!

I missed last week, but that's okay!  I have been so busy with work and trying to get back into the swing of working out and managing a house, Blogger has taken another backseat.  But, I love this link up so much, that my current insomnia has me back at it again!!!  Happy reading!  Don't forget to link up and post your own Top 5 Laughs!  If you like what you read, follow me!  I love getting new followers!!!

Saturday's Top Five Laughs!

 1. Last week I was driving Ladybug home from school.  She was watching her tv in the backseat & having a snack.  Her show was over, so she started clapping.  She asked me to clap with her, but I told her I couldn't b/c I was driving and needed to keep my hands on the wheel.  Her response:
Ladybug:  Mommy clap with me
Me:  I can't honey, I'm driving.
Ladybug:  Mommy!  Ugh!  You're being prejudice!  You're making me crazy!
Me:  ---GASP---slight swerve on the road---small smile--Clapping now.....
Ladybug:  Thank you!
So, I eventually ask her where she heard this word.  Well, her previous video selection for the car was Martha Speaks.  I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with those, but they often have new vocabulary words.  Well, "prejudice" was one of the words they learned.  Martha, who is a dog, was prejudice against a cat.  So....somehow my not wanting to clap at the end of the Berenstein Bears, made me prejudice.
And that ladies and gentlemen is why I have grey hair!!!!

2.  Very excited to attend Ladybug's Halloween Party, I get there and help get her dressed.  She joins her friends on the floor for story time while I start getting my camera ready.  Then....she looks and sees that I am still there.
Ladybug:  Mommy...leave and go to your house and I will stay here.
Well, I of course ignore her until she says it 2 more times and gets louder each time.
Ladybug:  Mommy...go home!
We will just say that she was concerned that she would have to go home and leave the Halloween festivities. :-/

3.  I try not to share too much about my job, but I work with children.  This was a conversation that took place.
Child:  Who are you voting for this year?
Adult: Well let's see.  Who is running this year?
Child:  Barack Obama and that other guy
Adult:  Do you know that Other Guy's name?
Child:  No.
Adult:  Mitt Romney
Child:  Rick Rozzi?
LOL!  So, I think I have my write in candidate now!  Rozzi 2012!  Um...did I mention this kid is only in the 3rd grade?  :-/

4.  I was making up the bed in my bedroom when Ladybug came in.  I questioned her about the popcorn pieces in bed and asked her if she knew where they came from.  She informed me that my husband had made the mess in the room and he wasn't being a good listener.  ;-)

5.  Ladybug loves The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She makes everyone....EVERYONE...come into the living room with her to dance.  No matter what you are doing or wearing....you have to dance or she will not stop calling you.  So.....Monday....we were all partially dressed in the living room dancing!  ......the things you do for kids......

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

I absolutely love the Saturday Top Five Laughs!!  It has become one of my favorite posts to participate in over the weekend.  If you are newly reading my blog today, it is a list of the top 5 cute, funny, silly or hilarious things your little ones have done over the week.  My little one is 2, but she acts like she is about to turn 4.  She keeps me in stitches and keeps herself in timeout.

1.  While shopping at my favorite grocery store for produce, Ladybug wanted to strike up a conversation with a young lady stocking the strawberries.  Well, she is in a new stage where she is letting her imagination take over of the truth.  So, she is telling this woman how much she loves her big brother and baby sister, that she doesn't even have.  She also proceeded to tell the woman how Mommy and Daddy were arguing today and Mommy got in trouble.  Umm.....what?  The crazy thing is, the lady was really eating it up like it was true information!  Well, when I asked Ladybug why she was saying that, she responded, "I play a joke on you, Mommy"!

2.  While misbehaving in the store, Ladybug didn't take kindly to being redirected by her mother.  She informed me, "You are in charge of you and I am in charge of me".  WTH?  Um...when did that become a 2 year old statement???

3.  Last night my husband was watching a movie and there was a woman screaming in it.  She wasn't asleep yet, but was winding down.  She heard the screaming and thought it was me.  So on the monitor I can hear her, "Mommy, Mommy, why you screaming!!  Why you screaming"!!  Well, we usually don't go into her room once the door closes, but since she thought I was screaming, we had to reassure her that the screaming was on the television.

4.  I'm currently trying to get ready for the JBF sale that will be starting in about 2wks.  I think she is aware of the process, b/c when she saw the big pile of clothes, she took off running.  The routine is that I try several items on her so that I know what needs to be sold and what we need to purchase.  So, I was doing a lot of running after a partially clothed child yesterday.

5.  This morning I was lying in bed with my daughter & she informed me that there was not enough room for both of us.  We were the only two laying in bed and she says, "Mommy, there are too many people in this bed, I need my own pillow, I need more covers".  Um....you need to get out of my bed little girl!  WTH?

Please link up over on The Mommyhood Chronicles to share your funnies!!  This is fun!!!

Saturday Top Five Laughs

It's Saturday and it's back!  The Saturday Top Five Laughs from The Mommyhood Chronicles.  I love this link up b/c the posts from other moms are so funny!  Who knew kids could be so funny w/o trying!?!?  Ladybug is really getting a personality of her own, which means she has decided to start talking back.  At 2, she is any early talker & her vocabulary is pretty advanced.  So, if you can't believe this is coming from a 2 year old.....you are not the only one.

1.  Monday morning she was talking back to me while brushing her teeth.  I said to her, "Hey, you better watch your mouth, young lady".  To which she replied, "'Hey' is for horses, Mommy".  WTH?  She got me on that one, but I was almost floored.  Not only did I sound like my mother.....she sounded like me!!!

2.  We were at the library picking up Ladybug's gift card that she won b/c of reading during the library's summer reading program.  There is a handicap computer that is low enough for her to use, so she walked over to it and started pressing buttons and making the computer 'beep'.  "Let's not do that, sweetie, we don't want to break it."  She replied, "I can't right now, Mommy, I'm too busy....I'm working on my computer".  :-/

3.  While still at the library, she decided it would be a good idea to ignore her mother even further by rolling on the round cushions they have in the children's area.  We have started the counting to 3 routine & for the most part it is working for us.  Before I make this statement, let me be very clear that she does not get spankings.  If she goes to timeout, the next step is usually a pop on the hand, that we refer to as a "pop pop".  Well, she isn't listening and I start counting.  Me:  1......2   Ladybug:  "No, Mommy, No!!!!  Don't get me!!!"  Um....she is screaming this in the library and holding her bottom.  What the heck?  So, I look like the angry mother that beats her child regularly.  We went home soon after that......

4.  We were at the after hours doctor's office because she was having some allergy issues and her doctor was closed for the day.  I was filling out the paperwork because I had never been there before and she was walking around the office being friendly and exploring.  Well,  there was a little girl that wasn't listening to her mother.  So, Ladybug walks over to her and her mother and says, "you need to be nice!"  Um.....get over here little girl before you start a fight.  SMH!  My daughter is too much.  I guess she is the obedience patrol for others.....not so much herself.

5.  We pull into the parking lot of McDonald's today after I pick her up from daycare.  She is excited and asks, "are we getting french fries"?  I tell her we are because we have all had a long week.  She replies, "Yay, Mommy!  That's a great idea"!

I always say this, but she really is the funniest baby I know!!!  But, she is starting to turn into a smart mouth, but she is hilarious.  Lucky for me I have a lot of experience with holding back smiles, due to my job.  She definitely makes me work hard at holding in those smiles!!!!

Saturday Top Five Laughs!

I linked up with The Mommyhood Chronicles to participate in the Saturday Top Five Laughs. I was trying to link it up, but I was not sure how to. So...if you want to join the link, please click above and visit her blog. Well, the purpose is to capture the funnies that our children say! Think of the top five funnies your little ones have said in the last week and put them on your blog. After that, go to the Mommyhood Chronicles and link up to share and read other funnies!

1. Ladybug and I were sitting in the bed watching tv. I was on my phone, which gives her full control of the remote control. She turns to me and says...."Shh....Okay.....Mommy, it's starting....it's starting!!" So, I look at the television and she has it on the Spanish channel, just in time to watch: Abismo de pasion.

2. While driving in the car, my husband and I had a little disagreement. We were not yelling, but definitely talking passionately. Ladybug says, "Stop, stop....be nice! Stop being an attitude"!

3. We went to eat icecream one day & we all got different flavors. Ladybug isn't big on sharing her food, so she was a little upset when her daddy wanted to try her flavor. She got very irritated. "No, Daddy...this is mine"! She points at his, "and this is yours" then points at mine, "and this is yours", she points back at her ice cream and says sternly...."this is mine! Okay?"

4. Her new saying, "Stop, stop means, stop"! Well.....she's got a point there!

5. We are currently in the ending stages of potty training. (we are working on mastering overnight) She is doing so well, by the way. Well, whenever I take my little one to the potty she goes & sings....then when it is my turn she claps and says,"Good job, Mommy. I'm proud of you". LOL! She is the funniest 2 year old I know!

Don't forget to link up!!!
