Saturday's Top Five Laughs

Okay, so you would think I was super busy & always had things going on!  But, I really don't!  I have just been getting ready for Baby Brother, finish his room before he actually moves in & doing treatment plans for the ladies at work taking over my client caseload while I am out on maternity leave.  Just a little reminder that all of these expressions are from my 3 year old daughter!  She is a mess, but I assure you that she is just as much of a Diva as she appears to be in these posts.  I really have a 13 year old in the body of a 3 year old.

1.  Ladybug really likes to help w/her baby brother.  Last week I was cooking and he was in the swing.  He started crying & I asked her to give him his Binky & try to sooth him until I could get to him.  She gives him his Binky & tries to shush him....then about 5 seconds later she tells me, "Um...mom, you need to take care of him b/c I have to finish my puzzle".  Um....excuse me little girl?  She got this 100 piece puzzle from her father to do in the hospital while she visited us.

2.  Ladybug got the chance to feed her Baby Brother.  She feeds him for about 2 minutes and says, "Um....can you take him, my back hurts".

3.  Ladybug had a little accident @ school b/c she was playing & having fun & waited too late to go to the bathroom.  When I asked her what happened, she replied, "It was just necessary, it just had to happen, it was nobody's fault, it was just necessary, Mommy".  WHAT IN THE WORLD???  I Just couldn't even say anything to her about that response.  She is too much.

4.  Since Baby Brother was born during flu season, Ladybug & I got our flu shots.  She did really well & didn't cry.  Well, her dad has been dragging his feet to get his shot & putting it off.  We drove by Walgreen's, which is where I got my shot, & Ladybug tells her dad, "Daddy, you really need to get your flu shot, I mean REALLY".

5.  Last but not least, she went to school last week and told everyone how her mother makes "Breast Milk" for her Baby Brother.  She told them how I take it out of my breast in bottles & put it in bags so that I can give it to the babysitter.  Um....did I mention she told this to her babysitter & the Nutrition Program women that came to the home daycare to check the babysitter's  meal plan.  I was so embarrassed, but the babysitter said that the Nutrition Program women were "so impressed w/how much she knew".  That's what happens when your child walks in on you pumping and you just have to tell her what's going on.  :-/

I'm Back!!.......with Saturday's Top Five Laughs of course!

Wow!! I can't believe it has been almost one month since I have posted anything to the blog!!! So much has been going on and I have been super busy! Ladybug is growing like crazy and her father and I have been busy like crazy. She has decided to be a "Princess" for Halloween this year and I can't wait to finish altering her costume. I'm not making it this year. We got a Rapunzel costume that was on sale....making a few alterations/changes & getting her accessories from Dollar Tree...my favorite store. Well, back to business!!!

SATURDAY'S TOP FIVE LAUGHS!!!

1. My husband and I went to a middle school football game, to show support for one of our friends. My daughter has found a love for football evidently, b/c she was screaming in the stands, "Get him, get him!!!!" Um....not sure what she knows about football or defense. She must spend more time w/her dad on Monday nights than I realize!

2. My little 2 year old has quite a mouth on her, but it is hard to discipline her b/c she is so respectful! I was in the kitchen getting her allergy medicine ready for her to take. I called her into the kitchen & she politely tells the person on her pretend phone....also known as her hand....to "hold on please". Then looks at me and says, "Mommy, can you be quiet please"? Then she goes back to her hand...'phone' and says, "okay, I'm back". WTH is going on here????

3. Last night's conversations w/Ladybug
Me: Ladybug, I love being your Mommy.
Ladybug: I love being your father.
Me: :-/ .....Well, you're not my father, you're my daughter.
Ladybug: ******crickets******

This Morning's Conversation w/Ladybug:
Me: Ladybug, I love being your Mommy.
Ladybug: I love being your father........I love being your Princess Ladybug.

4. While cleaning out my closet I found an old unused makeup brush. I gave it to Ladybug & now she is walking around the house, getting into my makeup bag & getting mad when I won't let her play in my MAC. She was playing w/the makeup brush & rubbing it all over her face & arms. Her dad asked her what she was doing and she popped off, "It's makeup daddy....it's just for girls!" He then informed me that she wouldn't be doing pageants.....LOL! But, I do let her wear my flavored lip gloss from VS...it's chocolate.

5. Ladybug recently had a cupcake and thought it was an excellent idea to rub the icing on her arms and legs...right before bedtime. "Look, Mommy....lotion"! Needless to say she took another bath. :-/

1.  My daughter is 2 and mastering potty training.  She still wears a diaper at night, but usually remains dry.  Well, sometimes she has a little trouble taking the diaper off in the morning.  Her father went into the bathroom to help her last weekend.  After the diaper was off she exclaimed.  "We did it, we did it together!!"

2.  Then after she was finished using the potty, she went to get her "big girl panties" and handed them to her dad.  He asked if she was going to put them on.  She looked at him and said, "no....you're putting them on".  SMH...

3.  Sometimes on Saturdays I like to sleep in late.  If myself or my husband don't wake-up or get Ladybug up when she calls, this is usually what we hear.  "Mommy........ Mommy, Moooommmyyyy.******silence********Daddy......Daddy.......Daaaaddddyyyy......Mommy, where are yoooouuuu?"

4.  My daughter recently found a make-up brush of mine and has been mesmerized by it.  Once I showed her how to use it, she started blushing her cheeks and underarms.  She is fascinated with deodorant, so I guess this is the next best thing.  Side bar, my husband is not a fan of the show Toddlers & Tiaras.  Honestly, he hates it and every time I have the show on, he reminds me that our daughter isn't going to do pageants.  Well, when he saw her with the blush brush he reminded me of this again.  I told him, "It's okay sweetie, she is a little girl, this is what they do".  Ladybug replies, "Yeah, Daddy.  I a little girl, I like to do this"!  LOL!  I smiled a little, but my husband just shook his head......  :-)

5.  Sunday we went to the 8:30 am church service because for some odd reason we were all up at 7am!  Well after church I still had some time before I had to be at the JBF presale and it was such a beautiful day, we decided to go to the zoo.  I'm not sure what happened at the zoo, but I must have said something that my Ladybug didn't like.  She kept saying, "My Mommy's being an attitude".  (Ladybug is the one that started the 'being an attitude' phrase.  I'm not sure where she got it from and I'm not totally sure what context she means when she uses it, but I know that it isn't a good thing.)  Of course everyone thought it was funny, but I didn't.  ME:  No, I'm not.  Ladybug:  ******pointing at me****"Yes you are"!!!  Ugh.....the preteen years are not looking good, ladies!

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

This is another link up from Mommyhood Chronicles. If you are reading this, I am currently volunteering at the JBF sale helping the consignors check in their clothing for the sale. I am working an 8 hour shift! ;-/. But, they will be feeding us!!! Win! So, please enjoy these sweet and funny moments that i am sharing! Anyway, don't forget to follow and head to Mommyhood Chronicles to link up!!!

1. Ladybug has a friend at daycare who will be a big brother soon. His mother is a very 8 months pregnant. When the mother came to pick up her son, Ladybug took one look at her stomach, pointed and said, "Hey, do you have a baby in there?!?!". I am definitely glad there was a baby in there, or that would have been awkward.

2. Ladybug is a pretty good eater and enjoys her vegetables. Yesterday I fixed her plate for dinner and she was pretty excited. She started eating and I could tell she enjoyed it because she was quiet. Then, she looked at me, rubbed her stomach and said, "mommy, this food makes my tummy feel better". I'm glad she enjoyed herself.

3. Ladybug is pretty much a trip. Yesterday I asked her to pick up her toys. She says, "ugh, stop talking, don't talk to me, Mommy, I watching Caillou". WTH?  And that's why we have timeout in our house.  Smart mouth.

4. She was lying on the floor with my husband's old phone. She was having an intense conversation talking about me, my husband and from what I could gather....pictures. When I asked her who she was talking to, she named a coworker of mine. Um....how do you even know her name. She remembers everything!!!

5. Yesterday we could not find the remote control for the living room.  Ladybug likes to watch Caillou on demand before she goes to bed.  She was convinced that her Daddy had lost it and was going to receive a "pop pop" because of this.  Well, good thing for Daddy, we were able to find the remote and Caillou was watched On Demand.  Daddy avoided a "pop pop" and timeout!

Don't forget to follow me and link up!  Have a wonderful weekend ladies!  Enjoy this beautiful weather!!!!
