Favorite Product Friday!

Okay, I recently got back from a trip with my family and tackled a plane ride with a potty training toddler.  I just wanted to drop a couple of items that I loved that made the trip so much easier for us!!!  Don't forget to stop by the Naptime Review and link up to share your favorite items!  I would share more, but I am still catching up from being on vacation!!!
These traveling utensils are great for a traveling kids!  You don't have to worry about making sure that the guests you are visiting have the appropriate toddler silverware for them.  I brought my own, they were $1 at Dollar Tree and they fit in my purse!!  Man....I love that store!

It's Okay Thursday

Yay!!!  It's finally Thursday!  This week has been a short work-week for me, but has been long.  We just got back in town yesterday from a trip to North Carolina to visit my grandmother and other family.  I, being the dedicated worker I am, even went in to the office yesterday to do some work for about 4 hours, because we got in at about 12pm.  I know...craziness!!!  Well, enjoy and don't forget to stop by Neely's blog to link up!

It's Okay.......

to secretly enjoy watching CNN and other news stations

to openly think my daughter is smarter than your average 2 year old....the word genius has been thrown around.....I'm just saying

to be a little sad Robin will be away from Good Morning America for awhile.....I don't even know her.....

to hold people to high ethical standards

to have an opinion that you keep to yourself

to eat a bag of M&Ms......any flavor

to utter this phrase more than 1x a day, "they are not going to worry me".

to break the seat belt rule on the plane to keep a toddler from making everyone miserable........thank you to the flight attendants for turning a blind eye :-)

to ignore that person at your door.....it's not like they called & said they were coming to visit

to buy that outfit knowing good and well that you will not loose enough weight to keep it from sliding up.

to not like spanx or spanx like products because you get out of breath trying to get them on.......worst fight of my life

 All About The Internet

This should be fun!  Don't forget to link up with Neely and follow me.  I love new followers and reading new blogs!  Enjoy!

1. What is the first website you log on to each day?
Hmm....currently it is a website that tracks how much money I am making in a consignment sale.  But, after that sale is over, it will probably go back to my job website or Facebook.

2. Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about.
That is a tough one because a lot of my favorite sites I have the app for it on my phone.  I enjoy:
www.pinterest.com
www.pandora.com

3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why?
Right now I like Pinterest more.  I am planning a baby shower for a friend of mine and getting a lot of good ideas.  But, I do love Facebook and keeping in touch with old friends living far away!

4. Twitter or Instagram? Why?
Instagram.  Twitter gets so clutter with twits and retwits from people I don't even follow.  It gets a little too cluttered for me.  But, I do use twitter for trash talk.  I have less followers so I end up not offending too many people!  ;-)

5. Favorite youtube video...post it!

6. Biggest online pet peeve?
I can't stand when cowards leave negative comments.  I hate reading a news article and someone has left a nasty comment about the people in the article.  That is just sick.  Also, I can't stand people with poor Facebook etiquette.  I had a cousin post the death of my uncle on Facebook!!!  We live in two different states on two different time zones!!!  She knew I didn't know, because it was 8am my time!  I'm still a little upset about that one!

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

Hello, Ladies!  I hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend!  I know I am having a blast with my family this weekend.  I will be sure to fill you all in about my wonderful weekend next week.  These are my Top Five Laughs!  Don't forget to link up and also to follow me.  Oh, if you are new to reading my blog....these are the words from a very Sassy two year old!

dentistmelsbbutton Saturday Top Five Laughs Come join our Blog Hop!

1.  My daughter is 2 and mastering potty training.  She still wears a diaper at night, but usually remains dry.  Well, sometimes she has a little trouble taking the diaper off in the morning.  Her father went into the bathroom to help her last weekend.  After the diaper was off she exclaimed.  "We did it, we did it together!!"

2.  Then after she was finished using the potty, she went to get her "big girl panties" and handed them to her dad.  He asked if she was going to put them on.  She looked at him and said, "no....you're putting them on".  SMH...

3.  Sometimes on Saturdays I like to sleep in late.  If myself or my husband don't wake-up or get Ladybug up when she calls, this is usually what we hear.  "Mommy........ Mommy, Moooommmyyyy.******silence********Daddy......Daddy.......Daaaaddddyyyy......Mommy, where are yoooouuuu?"

4.  My daughter recently found a make-up brush of mine and has been mesmerized by it.  Once I showed her how to use it, she started blushing her cheeks and underarms.  She is fascinated with deodorant, so I guess this is the next best thing.  Side bar, my husband is not a fan of the show Toddlers & Tiaras.  Honestly, he hates it and every time I have the show on, he reminds me that our daughter isn't going to do pageants.  Well, when he saw her with the blush brush he reminded me of this again.  I told him, "It's okay sweetie, she is a little girl, this is what they do".  Ladybug replies, "Yeah, Daddy.  I a little girl, I like to do this"!  LOL!  I smiled a little, but my husband just shook his head......  :-)

5.  Sunday we went to the 8:30 am church service because for some odd reason we were all up at 7am!  Well after church I still had some time before I had to be at the JBF presale and it was such a beautiful day, we decided to go to the zoo.  I'm not sure what happened at the zoo, but I must have said something that my Ladybug didn't like.  She kept saying, "My Mommy's being an attitude".  (Ladybug is the one that started the 'being an attitude' phrase.  I'm not sure where she got it from and I'm not totally sure what context she means when she uses it, but I know that it isn't a good thing.)  Of course everyone thought it was funny, but I didn't.  ME:  No, I'm not.  Ladybug:  ******pointing at me****"Yes you are"!!!  Ugh.....the preteen years are not looking good, ladies!

Favorite Product Friday!!

 Mom’s Monday Mingle

If you don't already know, I love finding new things that make my life a little easier.  So, please take a look at my Favorite Product Friday items!  Maybe you will like them, too!  I decided to dedicated these to grocery store items that I just so happened to find a coupon for.  Odd how you go to the store and find random coupons sitting out by products.  Hmm....makes me wonder if I was set up!  LOL!  Enjoy and don't forget to link up with Naptime Review to add some of you own and follow me.  I love getting new readers!

I was never really on the oxy wagon until I saw how white they got my sister's laundry.  I really like this because they make it in free and my husband can use it and so can my little Ladybug.  I found a coupon actually lying on this one day when I was in the store.  I saw this as a sign to buy it and I am glad that I did.

I found this on line today, but it just reminded me of how my laundry room looks!  When my husband and I got married he was impressed that I used Shout and a tooth brush to get stains out.  Duh!  Is there any other way.  I saw my mother do this and just kept the tradition going.  I have been using this for years and continue to buy it.....even without a coupon.  Love the stuff!
Okay, this is the last, but definitely  not the least!  I found this in the store and the coupon was actually attached to the item.  I absolutely hate using bleach because it always ends up on my clothes!  I bought some bleach last year, not for my laundry, but to get a smell out of the drain.  I still have that bottle of bleach!  I will probably never use it again!  But, this works great, gets my whites white and I don't have bleach sprinkles on me. Yay!

It's Okay Thursday!

Hey, it's that time again ladies!  The link up from A Complete Waste of Make-up.  I have started liking this link up because it lets me know that tomorrow is Friday!!!  Which means I am behind on a lot of things that I need to do at home and work before the weekend!!!  Oh, well!  Please enjoy and don't forget to link up with Neely!

It's Okay.........

to let my husband get up to see why our daughter is crying......sometimes I just need to rest

to wait to the last minute to pack before going out of town.

to not let certain people know you will be in town close to them :-)

to be annoyed with people smoking at a stop light....just because it's getting in your car

to drink way too much soda

to drink coffee....even though it is 100 degrees outside

to make a mixed drink for no reason at all....even just to do laundry......maybe I missed my calling

to like pole aerobics a little too much

to practice your moves at home...preferably w/your husband or mate...but by yourself is cool, too.

to say "thank you" when someone holds the door open for you!  Manners 101...passed with an A..thanks!

be irritated that a tropical storm may jack up your 'end of the summer' vacation!  :-(  please say it ain't so..

Well, thank you for reading my passive aggressive moment!  LOL!  Please don't forget to link up and if you have time follow me!  Have a wonderful Thursday ladies!!!

I know I am beating a dead horse with these JBF posts, but I absolutely love the sale and the money I save! However, I still haven't got the bill for those stitches, so who knows if I actually made any money this sale! So far, I have made money, even though I went shopping!!

Here are some of the items I got for Ladybug. She absolutely loved the $4 stroller and pink princess backpack I found for her!!!

Sunday Social: Throwback Time

Hey, Ladies!  It's Sunday Social Time again!  Today's link up is from Neely over at A Complete Waste of Makeup!  Stop by her site and link up!  I hope you guys are  having a wonderful weekend.  Today is my day to shop at the JBF sale.  Yesterday I had to volunteer at the sale.  My feet hurt and my shoulders hurt!  :-(  I think next year I will find a different job to do.  I really don't like telling people, "I'm sorry, we can't accept this item".  It makes me feel bad to tell people they have to take their clothes home because they smell or have stains.  But, who would want to buy something smelly or stained?  Not me!!  Anyway...way off topic!  Enjoy your Sunday!!!

1. What were you like in Middle School/HS?(pictures)
I was funny, talkative and hopefully nice to everyone!  I was on the drill team, so those are the only pictures that I have...via facebook.

2.  What were your favorite past times?
I used to love hanging out with my friends, going to the mall, going to the movies and going to the football games.
3. What songs were you obsessed with?
I liked New Edition, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Will Smith and I loved the song Jesse's Girl.  Just a lot of cheesy stuff I would probably not listen to now!  LOL!
4. What fashion statement do you look back on and cringe?
I loved Express!  I would probably still wear their clothing, but somehow I could afford it when I was younger, but not now....Hmmmm....  How does that work out.  I would probably cringe if I saw a picture of me with crimped hair!
5. Who was your celeb crush?
Hmm....I thought Will Smith was pretty cute back in the day.
6. What were your favorite tv shows/movies?
I absolutely loved Married with Children, Saved by the bell & Teen Witch ("top that")

Now your turn, answer the questions, grab the button and link up at

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

This is another link up from Mommyhood Chronicles. If you are reading this, I am currently volunteering at the JBF sale helping the consignors check in their clothing for the sale. I am working an 8 hour shift! ;-/. But, they will be feeding us!!! Win! So, please enjoy these sweet and funny moments that i am sharing! Anyway, don't forget to follow and head to Mommyhood Chronicles to link up!!!

1. Ladybug has a friend at daycare who will be a big brother soon. His mother is a very 8 months pregnant. When the mother came to pick up her son, Ladybug took one look at her stomach, pointed and said, "Hey, do you have a baby in there?!?!". I am definitely glad there was a baby in there, or that would have been awkward.

2. Ladybug is a pretty good eater and enjoys her vegetables. Yesterday I fixed her plate for dinner and she was pretty excited. She started eating and I could tell she enjoyed it because she was quiet. Then, she looked at me, rubbed her stomach and said, "mommy, this food makes my tummy feel better". I'm glad she enjoyed herself.

3. Ladybug is pretty much a trip. Yesterday I asked her to pick up her toys. She says, "ugh, stop talking, don't talk to me, Mommy, I watching Caillou". WTH?  And that's why we have timeout in our house.  Smart mouth.

4. She was lying on the floor with my husband's old phone. She was having an intense conversation talking about me, my husband and from what I could gather....pictures. When I asked her who she was talking to, she named a coworker of mine. Um....how do you even know her name. She remembers everything!!!

5. Yesterday we could not find the remote control for the living room.  Ladybug likes to watch Caillou on demand before she goes to bed.  She was convinced that her Daddy had lost it and was going to receive a "pop pop" because of this.  Well, good thing for Daddy, we were able to find the remote and Caillou was watched On Demand.  Daddy avoided a "pop pop" and timeout!

Don't forget to follow me and link up!  Have a wonderful weekend ladies!  Enjoy this beautiful weather!!!!

Favorite Product Fridays

Thought I would take a quick minute to jot down some favorite products of the week that I really like.  If you have the time, check them out and then go to Naptime Review and link up!
1.  I bought this for my daughter from Avon and have been very pleased.  I like the fact that it is all in one and it is not greasy and it leaves my daughter smelling really good.  You can buy it for about $14, but it is usually on sale.  I have bought this 2x, once for $8 and the other time for $5.  It works, but you have to make sure you cover everywhere!!
2.  Lakeshore Learning Center Free Craft Saturday.  This is a great free activity for the kids.  I have blogged about it before, but I really had to do it again because it is free and everyone loves free stuff!  The website has the list of dates and crafts that will be completed.
3.  Water Doodle Mat.  My daughter loves to draw and this lets her have a big canvas that she can use again and again, once the water dries.  The only negative is that sometimes it dries too quickly.  She enjoys it, but if your child doesn't enjoy drawing, they will get bored pretty quick.

I like this stuff!

I recently had a breakthrough with some mascara!  I tried all these different brands and formulas and was really not happy with anything that I found.  The one I found was under $5 from NYC.  I absolutely love it!!!!  It's called City Curls and comes in a really cute pink tube!  It gives my lashes lift and length!  The best part is that it is sooo cheap!!!

WW

Yesterday ended so crazy! It started off very boring...just how I like it....with nothing out of the ordinary going on. So, I start cooking and Ladybug is watching Calliou and playing in the living room. Things are still nice and boring.....until I decide to start getting ready for the Just Between Friends Sale. Well, I ended up cutting myself when I tried to get gum off the bottom of one of Ladybug's shoes. I can't believe that! Well, it was a little cut, so I just kept going. Then it wouldn't stop bleeding and when I looked at it, it was pretty deep. A short deep cut.....just deep enough to need stitches. Just my luck. So, after chasing down a toddler in nothing but her bloomers, getting her dressed, calling my sister to watch her & putting myself on something that resembled clothes, I was on my way to the emergency clinic down the street. I of course had to make sure they did stitches, b/c if they didn't, I was going to deal with it because I was not going to the ER for 3 stitches......no way. Well, I got stitched up and was back home cooking and finishing preparing for the sale w/in 2 hours. So much for a WORDLESS Wednesday, but....nobody is perfect. :-)  Oh, the first picture is what was on the wall in the office when I got here.  My daughter made this for me in at daycare (school) and my husband had it framed for Mother's Day.  Now it is finally hanging somewhere!  It looks beautiful and makes me feel better.  My arm is still hurts from that tetanus shot and my thumb hurts, but this put a smile on my face this morning.
Have a great day ladies!!  Don't forget to follow me!

She is a beautiful artist!
Waiting for the doctor and playing with my phone.
Not to big, but too deep & wouldn't stay closed.  Stitches it is.........
Well, an hour and a half, 3 stitches and a Tetanus shot later....I am ready to pick up Ladybug from my sister.  Yellow just happens to be my favorite color!  Glad this is the one she selected!

Sunday Social

It's that time again!  I love Sunday Social b/c I love talking about me and answering questions.  Please take the time to go to A Complete Waste of Makeup and link up to answer the questions and read everyone's!  Don't forget to FOLLOW!

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That is a tough one!  I love some many types of food, but if I could only have one for the rest of my life, it would have to be Nachos!  I know that sounds crazy, but I love homemade Nachos!

What's your guilty pleasure/comfort food?
This would definitely be lasagna or spaghetti made w/sausage.  Love, love, love!
What's the weirdest/craziest thing you've ever eaten?
This would probably be calf fries :-( or Fufu from an African restaurant in DC.
What foods do you avoid at all costs?
I don't like fresh onions!  I hate the smell of them!!!  Once they are cooked, they are fine, but I just can't take the raw!  I also don't like boiled eggs.  Sometimes I can't stand the smell of regular eggs!
What meal reminds you of your childhood?
My favorite meal, even to this day is fried pork chops, cabbage and mac-cheese.  My mother still makes it when I go home to visit.  I make it, but it just doesn't taste the same as my mother's.
Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it.
Wow, this is my favorite question so far!  I am not the best cook, but I can read and follow a recipe very well.  My husband is a good cook, but I am the one who does the majority of the cooking in the home because I  make it home before he does.  I like to try out new recipes, so that our menu doesn't get boring.  The website I love is www.allrecipes.com.  This is the best site because they let people who have tried the recipe give comments and tell you how they made it better or dealt with the negative parts of the recipe.  Anyway, my husband loved this recipe, especially the gravy, which is something he struggles with making.  He said it was the best part!!!  This really boosted my confidence as a cook and has become his favorite meal for me to cook.  Yay!!!  Oh, the recipe is Salisbury Steak!  Give it a try!

Don't forget to stop by A Total Waste of Makeup and link up!  Don't forget to follow me!  Have a great Sunday, Ladies!!!

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

I absolutely love the Saturday Top Five Laughs!!  It has become one of my favorite posts to participate in over the weekend.  If you are newly reading my blog today, it is a list of the top 5 cute, funny, silly or hilarious things your little ones have done over the week.  My little one is 2, but she acts like she is about to turn 4.  She keeps me in stitches and keeps herself in timeout.

1.  While shopping at my favorite grocery store for produce, Ladybug wanted to strike up a conversation with a young lady stocking the strawberries.  Well, she is in a new stage where she is letting her imagination take over of the truth.  So, she is telling this woman how much she loves her big brother and baby sister, that she doesn't even have.  She also proceeded to tell the woman how Mommy and Daddy were arguing today and Mommy got in trouble.  Umm.....what?  The crazy thing is, the lady was really eating it up like it was true information!  Well, when I asked Ladybug why she was saying that, she responded, "I play a joke on you, Mommy"!

2.  While misbehaving in the store, Ladybug didn't take kindly to being redirected by her mother.  She informed me, "You are in charge of you and I am in charge of me".  WTH?  Um...when did that become a 2 year old statement???

3.  Last night my husband was watching a movie and there was a woman screaming in it.  She wasn't asleep yet, but was winding down.  She heard the screaming and thought it was me.  So on the monitor I can hear her, "Mommy, Mommy, why you screaming!!  Why you screaming"!!  Well, we usually don't go into her room once the door closes, but since she thought I was screaming, we had to reassure her that the screaming was on the television.

4.  I'm currently trying to get ready for the JBF sale that will be starting in about 2wks.  I think she is aware of the process, b/c when she saw the big pile of clothes, she took off running.  The routine is that I try several items on her so that I know what needs to be sold and what we need to purchase.  So, I was doing a lot of running after a partially clothed child yesterday.

5.  This morning I was lying in bed with my daughter & she informed me that there was not enough room for both of us.  We were the only two laying in bed and she says, "Mommy, there are too many people in this bed, I need my own pillow, I need more covers".  Um....you need to get out of my bed little girl!  WTH?

Please link up over on The Mommyhood Chronicles to share your funnies!!  This is fun!!!

Messy

I have a confession to make. I have a messy office! I try to keep it organized and clean, but it is not working out for me. So, if I clean my office on a Friday, it is spotless until I get back to work on Monday. So......if I don't show up.....it will stay clean. But, since I enjoy my career and my paycheck, this is not really an option for me. I saw some things on Pinterest that I thought would be helpful. I mean, anything would help with this Tornado of an office! Feel free to link up any suggestions you have also! FYI, the bottom one is my office! :-(
Dish Drainer to Office Organizer {organize}.#organize, #office, #clipboard
Yes, this is my office!  Notice the birthday banner in the corner that is about 2 months old.  If I had panned out, you would have gotten to see the gold star streamers that are hanging from the ceiling!  Don't judge me please!!!

WW: Something just for me!

I recently got these and absolutely love them! I was hesitant about getting a pair of shoes that were so casual, but they were so cute, it was tax free weekend, they are for a good cause , and my husband said I could! So, my new favorite shoes are my Teal Pops from Toms!

Sunday Social

Sunday Social is a cute link up that I found on a cute blog I stumbled upon. Please link up and answer the questions. This should be fun!

1. What is your favorite Fall activity?

Hmmmm.....I love going on picnics and taking my daughter to the park, because it is not too hot and not too cold. My daughter loves picnics and will often suggest that we go on one. It is a perfect chance to have family time and enjoy each other and ourselves for free! You can't beat that!

2.  Do you have a football team you support.  If yes, which one and?

As you can tell by all the pictures posted below, my husband is a true Texans fan!  It doesn't matter what kind of season they are having, he is supporting them.  I found this really cute cheerleader uniform at the local JBF sale and just had to get it for Ladybug's Halloween costume.  Daddy was proud!!!

3.  What is something fun about Fall in your area?

Something we  love doing in our area is going to the Fair.  The state fair here & the one in my home town of the big D!  We like the Texas State Fair much better, but....you take what you can get.  Either way, we have fun eating, tasting wine & people watching!  I added a people watching pic for you guys!

4.  What are your favorite Fall outfit staples?

I absolutely love a fall wardrobe!  I love to crochet, so I usually start at the end of summer making a trendy scarf that will go w/a lot of outfits or something cute I can wear with my coat.  I love a top that won't show my extra weight that I am putting on for the summer as well.  A dark purse is a must and I usually prefer to have some heels on my boots, but I do that a lot less since I've had my daughter.   This outfit is really cute!  I also like sweaters that tie or are large.  You can go large during the fall and there is not need to fill like that gut has to be sucked in!  I love a fall wardrobe!!!

5.  What are you looking forward to most about this coming Fall season?

What I love best about this coming Fall is the HOPE that I will be expecting by then.  My husband and I have decided to start trying next month.  I also love the fact that I will try to fix another Thanksgiving dinner for the family.  FYI.....salted butter makes your turkey SALTY.  Confessions of a spaghetti cook, I know.  :-/  This Fall we are also going to start looking SERIOUSLY for a home.  I am ready for that!  Apartments are for the birds!

6.  What is your favorite Fall holiday? Traditions?

My favorite two Holidays are Christmas and Halloween.  But, since we are talking about Fall, Halloween is my favorite!  I love decorating, my daughter's daycare party and making her costume.  It is so much fun to get ready for Halloween!  It never gets old.  For Thanksgiving we usually go to my sister's for dessert.  Hopefully the dinner I'm cooking will work out & we will not  have to join her for dinner also!

This was a lot of fun!  Don't for to go by Neely's blog and link up!
