Princess day

Princess day at church was lots of fun. So, of course this was a great time to get my DIY on! She refused to wear her crown, but I took a picture of the outfit after I put it together, bc I figured something like this might happen! Initially I had plans to make her a tutu and a shirt, but once I looked in her closet, I saw all the tutus she had and decided against it. I did however make her an iron on sequins shirt. The decal came from Hobby Lobby and was only $3.99. The shirt was also at Hobby Lobby for $2.99. I got the "sparkly" shoes from Payless for $8.99. They were part of their Bogo sale. I of course got a pair of shoes, too! The wand and tiara were a birthday gift from her friends at school. it all worked out and she was one of the few toddlers dressed as a princess. She got to talk to Cinderella and Princess Tiana. Ladybug and her daddy also took a picture with Princess Tiana. I will have to add those pictures soon.

Summer Reading......

This summer the local library in our city has a reading program to encourage reading among the children & teens.  Of course my lovely Ladybug enjoys being read to, so we decided to sign her up.  While we were at the library reading & picking up so reserves for Mommy, a newspaper reporter approached us & asked if he could take our picture for a small local newspaper.  Ladybug was totally against sitting still until she saw the flash & noticed what was going on.  Then....she couldn't take her eyes off the lens & couldn't stop posing.

Daddy still refuses to wear a shirt.  He is a die hard Rockets fan!  Hey, I'm a Maverick's fan and I still put a shirt on!  Thunder Up!!!
