Freaky Friday w/Pinterest!!!

If you know anything about me, you know that I absolutely love Halloween, Pinterest & spending time with my Ladybug!!! So, it should be no surprise that last night we put all of those together! My little Ladybug made the cutest cookies for her class at school! She was really excited to bring something for Freaky Friday!

Thank you Pinterest for making the supplies minimal!  I used frosting instead b/c the tube icing they used was 2x as much as the icing!

She really enjoyed this project!  We were all smiles!

A little messy, but she had a great time!  I'm sure the kids at school will love this Freaky Friday treat!

I just wanted to share this with you guys out there that read my blog. I was reminded of this verse today when I went to a church with some of my clients to get help for the children. The woman was first of all wrong. When she was corrected by someone over her, it made her rude to us. This was first hard to put up with because we were in a church, I was with my clients and because I was so disappointed in her. She was there to set an example and show love to them and they heard her talking negatively and saw the attitude on her face. But, she definitely stirred up ANGER in me and it was necessary at all. I hate that I let her upset me, but she was "out of order".

In all of my anger and annoyance, I also remembered the above verse and remembered that I was there setting an example for someone and had to practice what I "preach".  We were respectful to her even though she was very rude to us.  The passage below I read with the SHE READ TRUTH website.  I do an online bible study with them.  You should really give it a try if that is your thing......even if it isn't your thing, please give it a try.  Anyway the passage below keeps me grounded.  I do certain things because that what God calls me to do, not what the law expects me to do, but what I know God wants me to do.  But......I was tested today.  I got upset....but I got my mind right.  Because...in the words of my mother, "That woman is not gonna worry me"!  LOL!  Have a wonderful day ladies!!!!

Toddle Along Tuesday: PARTY TIME!!!

Well, last night we went to a party for Ladybug's cousin. We had so much fun and it was a nice little change from the regular Monday. The kids enjoyed themselves and boy were there a lot of kids!! 1. What do you value most in life?

Totally easy! My relationship w/Christ and my family! Those are by far the two biggest motivators in my life!

2. What do you think is the greatest invention in your lifetime and why?

For me the directionally challenged person that I am, it has to be cell phones that will let you get on the internet AND that have GPS! That was the best Mother's Day gift ever!!! So what if I've had my iPhone 4 for less than 1 year & it is already out of date b/c 2 more have come out! WHATEVER!!!!

3. What do you think is the secret to a good life?

Hm.....I'd have to say that the secret to my good life is being obedient, being patient and being able to have a career that I enjoy. Even if some of my coworkers are sour w/their career choice, I love mine and that gives me peace.

4. What would you most like to be remembered for when you’re gone?

I want to be remembered as having a great sense of humor, a big personality & an even bigger heart.

5. What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?

This is probably the hardest thing I have ever done, and that is getting my license for my career choice! That was hard work!!! I had a lot of tearful & stressful nights preparing for that horrible test! But, what tops my list is being blessed with a beautiful daughter & seeing the fruits of my labor. Ready to do it again.....just as soon as I lose about 10 pounds!!!

6. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?

Oh, my! That is a tough one! Well, my husband has a celebrity crush on Halle Berry. So, I guess she wins the role ladies!!

I'm Back!!.......with Saturday's Top Five Laughs of course!

Wow!! I can't believe it has been almost one month since I have posted anything to the blog!!! So much has been going on and I have been super busy! Ladybug is growing like crazy and her father and I have been busy like crazy. She has decided to be a "Princess" for Halloween this year and I can't wait to finish altering her costume. I'm not making it this year. We got a Rapunzel costume that was on sale....making a few alterations/changes & getting her accessories from Dollar Tree...my favorite store. Well, back to business!!!

SATURDAY'S TOP FIVE LAUGHS!!!

1. My husband and I went to a middle school football game, to show support for one of our friends. My daughter has found a love for football evidently, b/c she was screaming in the stands, "Get him, get him!!!!" Um....not sure what she knows about football or defense. She must spend more time w/her dad on Monday nights than I realize!

2. My little 2 year old has quite a mouth on her, but it is hard to discipline her b/c she is so respectful! I was in the kitchen getting her allergy medicine ready for her to take. I called her into the kitchen & she politely tells the person on her pretend phone....also known as her hand....to "hold on please". Then looks at me and says, "Mommy, can you be quiet please"? Then she goes back to her hand...'phone' and says, "okay, I'm back". WTH is going on here????

3. Last night's conversations w/Ladybug

Me: Ladybug, I love being your Mommy.

Ladybug: I love being your father.

Me: :-/ .....Well, you're not my father, you're my daughter.

Ladybug: ******crickets******

This Morning's Conversation w/Ladybug:

Me: Ladybug, I love being your Mommy.

Ladybug: I love being your father........I love being your Princess Ladybug.

4. While cleaning out my closet I found an old unused makeup brush. I gave it to Ladybug & now she is walking around the house, getting into my makeup bag & getting mad when I won't let her play in my MAC. She was playing w/the makeup brush & rubbing it all over her face & arms. Her dad asked her what she was doing and she popped off, "It's makeup daddy....it's just for girls!" He then informed me that she wouldn't be doing pageants.....LOL! But, I do let her wear my flavored lip gloss from VS...it's chocolate.

5. Ladybug recently had a cupcake and thought it was an excellent idea to rub the icing on her arms and legs...right before bedtime. "Look, Mommy....lotion"! Needless to say she took another bath. :-/
