Sunday Social

I love linking up with A Complete Waste Of Makeup and answering all the questions for the day.  I haven't done this in a while, but whenever I get the chance to blog on a Sunday, I enjoy this link up.  Check it out & link up.  It's a lot of fun.  Just go to her page, link up, get the questions and answer them!  It's pretty simple!

1. Introduce yourself and your blog to us

Well, I'm Social & I really just blog about whatever is going on in my life.  When I first started my blog, I was a new mother & I blogged about being a new mother...work....home...child...hubby.  I post things about my family, work, my hobbies & things I'm interested in, trying, want to try or obsessions.  I love to post pics of the kids, food I've made, crafts I'm working on & even polish I'm using! My blog is great sneak peak into the randomness of my blessed & sometimes crazy life.  Basically, my blog is a lot of ramblings that hopefully people like to read.

 2. What is your favorite form of Social Media and why?

I really like Instigram.  I'm currently very obsessed with it & I like it more than FB or Twitter.  I had to put twitter down b/c it really was doing nothing for me.  I just love taking pics, posting them & letting the picture tell a story that I probably wouldn't be able to use enough words to explain.

 3. What made you start a blog?

I started a blog to  SEE WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT!  I had a couple of friends that blogged & even more that read blogs.  I was very curious about what it was like.  I was told to "just right about what you know".  Well, I know me!  So, it was easy to start b/c I had a great topic...my daughter.  I love to document the funny things my daughter does.  The more I did it, the more I used it as a web based journal of what I do, what we do & what I want to do.  Never in a million years did I think that people would be interested in reading my randomness, that I would actually develop friendships (blogships) w/moms & non-moms on the blog & experience happy moments & sad moments with them.  It's very odd when you think of it,  having blogships, but somehow......it works.....and is sort of fun.

 4. What do you feel the most meaningful/special post you’ve written is?

Wow, that is pretty hard b/c my blog is very light hearted & not real "deep".  The posts I really enjoy & tend to get the most feedback on are the ones that focus on the hilarious things my 4 year old says.  I haven't written on of the those since she was 3, but they always crack me up & I'm glad that I documented them, so that I could have a record of the craziness that goes on in our home.

Better late than never!

Two years ago I signed Ladybug up for a reading program at our local library.  We logged whenever she was read to at home or daycare.  At the end of the summer the library draws names and she win a giftcard to our local mall.  Almost 2 years later, we go to the mall to use it.  I let her spend it however she wanted.  Anyone who knows my little Diva knows this is right up her alley.  She's got good taste!

Bubble Art

Sunday I had a wonderful time doing arts and crafts with my daughter.  She had a blast and she's quite the artist.  She had so much fun making her glitter butterfly mask.  I got this idea from Pinterest and her babysitter.

Sunday Social

I had so much fun doing this link up with A Complete Waste of Make-up.  These things are so much fun & I've missed doing them.  I've been busy with 2 little ones & have neglected my blog!  Imagine that....a mother with no free time!  LOL!  Please stop by her site & link up!  I hope you enjoy my answers!

1. 4 Favorite bands you loved in high school

Well, I hope I don't date myself, but I loved Jodeci, SWV, K-C & JoJo & New Edition.

2. 4 go to meals you’d love to learn to cook or can cook really well

Well, when I got married, I really wanted to be a wife/mother that cooked daily.  I usually get requests for my chicken pot pie....extra chicken, Salisbury steak, lasagna, chicken & dumplings & fried pork chops.  Yes...I live in the South, if you couldn't tell by the food I selected.

3. 4 necessities to your daily life

Besides my family....it would have to be my phone, my laptop, my breast pump & caffeine free Pepsi.

4. 4 makeup necessities you must have if you could only have 4 on

I love mascara!!!  I can't be without it & will sometimes only wear mascara, if I'm in a hurry.  I will also wear lip gloss, Max Studio Fix & eye shadow.
Maybelline® Volum' Express® The Falsies™ Flared Mascara

5. 4 favorite apps on your phone or iPad

My favorite iphone app is my Hobby Lobby app that always has a great coupon I can use while I'm in the store, my instagram app, definitely my FB app & the Bible for kids app for my daughter.

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

Okay, so you would think I was super busy & always had things going on!  But, I really don't!  I have just been getting ready for Baby Brother, finish his room before he actually moves in & doing treatment plans for the ladies at work taking over my client caseload while I am out on maternity leave.  Just a little reminder that all of these expressions are from my 3 year old daughter!  She is a mess, but I assure you that she is just as much of a Diva as she appears to be in these posts.  I really have a 13 year old in the body of a 3 year old.

1.  Ladybug really likes to help w/her baby brother.  Last week I was cooking and he was in the swing.  He started crying & I asked her to give him his Binky & try to sooth him until I could get to him.  She gives him his Binky & tries to shush him....then about 5 seconds later she tells me, "Um...mom, you need to take care of him b/c I have to finish my puzzle".  Um....excuse me little girl?  She got this 100 piece puzzle from her father to do in the hospital while she visited us.

2.  Ladybug got the chance to feed her Baby Brother.  She feeds him for about 2 minutes and says, "Um....can you take him, my back hurts".

3.  Ladybug had a little accident @ school b/c she was playing & having fun & waited too late to go to the bathroom.  When I asked her what happened, she replied, "It was just necessary, it just had to happen, it was nobody's fault, it was just necessary, Mommy".  WHAT IN THE WORLD???  I Just couldn't even say anything to her about that response.  She is too much.

4.  Since Baby Brother was born during flu season, Ladybug & I got our flu shots.  She did really well & didn't cry.  Well, her dad has been dragging his feet to get his shot & putting it off.  We drove by Walgreen's, which is where I got my shot, & Ladybug tells her dad, "Daddy, you really need to get your flu shot, I mean REALLY".

5.  Last but not least, she went to school last week and told everyone how her mother makes "Breast Milk" for her Baby Brother.  She told them how I take it out of my breast in bottles & put it in bags so that I can give it to the babysitter.  Um....did I mention she told this to her babysitter & the Nutrition Program women that came to the home daycare to check the babysitter's  meal plan.  I was so embarrassed, but the babysitter said that the Nutrition Program women were "so impressed w/how much she knew".  That's what happens when your child walks in on you pumping and you just have to tell her what's going on.  :-/

Oh, how I have missed this!!!  Please check out the mommyhood chronicles by Melissa!  Link up and share your funnies!!!

I'm Back!!!

I can't believe it has been 3 months since I have been on here!!  I apologize.  I have been getting ready for my wonderful arrival!  At the end of October, we welcomed our newest addition into our family.  We are very excited!!!  I have been busy getting on "his schedule" & trying to recover from the C-section.  The baby and I are home and doing great.  He however is dealing with some gas, but thanks to some over the counter remedies, he is doing great.  He is such a blessing & his big sister just loves kissing and hugging on him.  While I was pregnant, she would kiss & hug on my stomach.  She is such a good big sister.  In a later post I will have to post the pics of our cupcake countdown for Baby Brother.
He is less than 2 hours old and he has his first visitor!!!  Love at first site!

Trying to open those eyes.

My sweet little man.

Sunday Social

Happy Sunday Everyone!!  Since I've been gone, I have so missed my link ups!  When you get a chance, please link up at A Complete Waste Of Makeup & participate, because it is really a lot of fun!!

Questions For This Week!!!

1. What are 3 items you can’t live without on a daily basis (water, food, shelter, and clothes don’t count).

I can't be without my iPhone, I literally walk around the office with it in my hand or in my pocket.  I am BIG on dental hygiene, so I am all about brushing and flossing.  Last but not least would have to be something I can pull my hair back with...sunglasses included!

2. What is your all time favorite book? Why?

I absolutely loved reading this book in high school.  It was the first book that I actually read all the way without Cliff notes.

3. What is something you’d like to accomplish before the end of 2013?

At the beginning of 2013 I wanted to be a mother again & be the proud owner of a home.  God has blessed us with both!  Now, I would love to have the garage cleared of boxes from moving before we celebrate 2014!!!

4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?

Hmmm....if I were going to do it over, it would be my first year of college.  If it was to do over because it was so much fun, it would be the year I got married and had my daughter.

5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?

I wish people knew when the conversation was over.  Uh....bye!
