Potty Time?

She absolutely loves her new Potty! She was having a little trouble going at daycare, but her babysitter seemed to think that the potty would help her go. It does and now she goes on the potty for #2. Now if we could get #1 in the potty, we could say goodbye to those diapers! But, we are in no rush.....she will get it on her own time. She just loved that potty and didn't want to get up after the picture was taken. It is a stepping stool, a potty & a training potty for the toilet. It always sings when she does her business. I think she will be ready by the summer, but WE ARE IN NO RUSH!

The grocery list was originally written by her dad. She decided to help b/c she loves to be a helper. When she was finished she proudly gave it to me and said, "I write it, Mommy". I love this baby!!! She is so smart!

Pee Pee?

Potting training is a serious issue and one that my daughter nor myself are ready to tackle. She is only 16 months! Well, today she was having playtime before she went to bed. She was all over the living room.....like usual. =) She climbed onto the couch & starts jumping....b/c she knows she isn't supposed to......stops, grabs the front of her diaper and says, "pee pee". What......sure enough...she was peeing. According to the potty training gurus, she does not have the necessary criteria to be a successful potty trained toddler. Mainly b/c she is not consistant, doesn't have the muscle control down & can't pull her pants up & down. She is basically just feeling the sensation. I was excited that she learned to recognize the feeling, but I am not rushing potty training at all!

She is definitely getting a spunky personality! Today we were in Dollar Tree. I told her it was time to leave & she politely said, "Wait". She said it twice! "Wait, wait". What is the world coming to!
