I like this stuff!

I recently had a breakthrough with some mascara!  I tried all these different brands and formulas and was really not happy with anything that I found.  The one I found was under $5 from NYC.  I absolutely love it!!!!  It's called City Curls and comes in a really cute pink tube!  It gives my lashes lift and length!  The best part is that it is sooo cheap!!!

I really try not to dress like a mother ALL the time. I try to live by a "no mom jeans" motto.  I try my best not to look too homely and like I just woke up.  I really love make up, shoes, fashion and polish.  I love these things so much, I think I will devote Thursdays to these topics!  With a toddler, I rarely have time to do much for myself and I am always looking at cheap ways to look cute, since the days of EVERYTHING MAC are over.  Now I still love my MAC foundation....that I will not compromise on....but for the other items......I need to go to the drug store for them.  But, with this, there is a lot of trail and error.  That is why I love when people post about products that they use.  Sometimes it saves me time and a disappointment when it doesn't work out right.  I recently bought a Covergirl mascara and it was horrible. I will review this item in another post, but it was a hot mess of a disappointment. I wrote in to Covergirl and told them I wasn't happy with the product. They were really nice and sent me a coupon to get any item free. The item I selected to get free was the Blastflipstick blendable lip duo in intense. Let's just say after not using Covergirl since my junior year in High school, I was pleasantly surprised. I love it! I don't even wear lipstick, just lip liner and a sheer toned gloss.

 

But, after trying this, I may have to pay the $8 for it.  The only reason I tried it was because I could get ANYTHING for free and wanted to get the most expensive thing they carried.  Which is really hard because the reason why I used Covergirl in high school was because of their low prices.  They have a lot of different colors for you to select from.  The thing I like best is that you can lighten the lipstick and darken it as you please.  It is really lasting, but I have a feeling it is just because it stains your lips.  So, if you are like me and your lipstick is eaten off an hour after you put it on.....you may want to try it.  I would take a picture of me wearing the shade, but unfortunately I have my face mask on and it really would be a hot mess picture.  I mean, face mask and popping lips!  Well, maybe that would be a picture you would want to see.....but I'm not showing!  LOL!
